Julie Gavilanes is a highly skilled paralegal and has been employed at Foulke Law Firm for nearly 20 years. Julie is engaged in all aspects of litigation from the commencement of the action through trial. She assists in prosecutions of negligence and discrimination cases in state and federal courts in New York and New Jersey. Her responsibilities include drafting and preparing a variety of legal documents in multiple cases, including complaints, discovery demands, appeals, motions, and client meetings. Julie has assisted in prosecuting cases against multiple corporations and municipal entities. She handles all Federal and State Court filings in the office’s negligence and discrimination cases.

Her Fluency in Spanish Benefits Both Firm and Clients With Impeccable Translation Services

Julie speaks Spanish fluently and provides translation services for all Spanish- speaking clients from the initial client meeting through the end of litigation.

Prior to joining Foulke Law Firm nearly 20 years ago, Julie served in the legal departments in New York City law offices of Shea & Gould and Montclare & Wachtler.

Julie also undertakes office managerial responsibilities, including interaction with clients and vendors; organizing appointments and meetings; maintaining calendars and schedules; preparing and distributing correspondence; answering, screening, and directing incoming calls; creating and maintaining database; organizing retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and removal of legal files.

Julie was born and raised in NYC and moved to Orange County twenty years ago with her husband and two children. Julie enjoys spending her free time at the gym in various group fitness classes, listening and dancing to all genres of music, reading, watching movies, hiking, and, most of all, spending time with family and close friends.
